The Nepal Progressive Professors’ Association (NPPA) is a dynamic organization representing teaching professionals across universities in Nepal. It is committed to safeguarding the trade union rights and professional interests of faculty members, promoting a progressive and student-centered education system, ensuring mandatory employment opportunities, fostering academic excellence, and actively contributing to the development of an equitable, advanced, and fully democratic republic of Nepal. Established in 1980 (2036 BS) as a nucleus, it was formed during a period when political parties faced restrictions, aiming to channel democratic ideas through academic circles.
